April is Here... and my friend is headed home

Happy Spring Crafting...

So one of those days... it starts off with knowing your friend is on her way home to New Jersey and it will be 6 months before you see her again.  Going to work... well no power for the morning.  What to do?  Well, create is what I decided (and doing laundry for breaks).  Saw on FB through a CTMH consultant's posting the Bunny Bag.  Printed out the instructions and decided to try it this morning.  Love it ... went together quickly.  Then decided to make my own Easter Bags for a few friends and family this weekend.   Finished up my 20 card project - and put them into two backs of nine -- because I had two friends who have birthdays this week and sent those out.

I have had fun using the CTMH Dotty For You paper pack.  Made 20 cards, 3 special cards, and Easter bags.  Still enough left to do another 20 cards.  Using the Art Philosophy Cartridge for the Cricut has been great...with the help from so many in CTMH and the videos, etc.  I have learned so much in just a week.  Using my Cricut in many ways to be productive and creative.

Creating this Blog to Share My Creations

What an experience.  Learning how to share what I usually just share live with people face to face - and now sharing on a blog. I really feel this is going to be more for my benefit - keeping a record of what I do and how I do it.  I have a great friend who is so organized... she puts me to shame.  So in doing this it is an attempt to organize my crafting.  To journal the projects, post the pictures and share with those friends who might want to learn or get some ideas too.

You might asked why now?  What prompted this blog (besides the encouragement from my bff?)  Well, I have just started with a company "Close To My Heart" - it is a great company with acrylic stamps (which I had been having a very hard time finding what I wanted at a Michael's or Joanns).  CTMH sells quality papers, inks and everything you need to put together great cards or scrapbooking pages.  The biggest sell this month is the Art Philosophy cartridge that you get FREE when you join.   That cartridge is the BEST tool for the Cricut -- you almost don't need any other cartridge (but I am glad I have the ones I have).   What really sold me on CTMH... when I got the box... opened it up ... and started reading through it all... antsy to get going on creating... I was able to make 5 cards using their papers, their instructions, all the cutting done on the CRICUT... I was sold.

So now what?  Well I'm waiting for an order to arrive this week.  I will make up a few more from their great instructions and supplies and then I will be open for business... Gatherings here we come.  Anyone wanting to host a small get together and learn a new concept in stamping, or an old one, or just get free things... we will have a blast doing it. I can't wait to get a group together that wants to do a WORKSHOP - CTMH has a great program for those workshops and you will LEARN so much - as I did when I went through one just this past week.

Is this only going to be about paper crafting?  No.. you know me I do a week of paper crafts and then turn to my sewing machine to create with material.  I love both and love to learn more about each.  So come back soon and see what else I'm working on.  For now Happy Crafting.
